Thanks for stopping by. I have always had a passion for the emergency services. As a young boy I would routinely walk past the fire station on the way home from school. If I came across an accident I would be sure to stop and offer any assistance. As soon as I turned 16 I joined the Pukekohe Volunteer Fire Brigade and even turned out to fire calls from school. After completing an electrical apprenticeship I joined the Auckland Ambulance Service where I worked as a career ambulance paramedic as well as carrying out secondments to HR, Training, Events and the Communications Centre. Priority One covers all these aspects of my life.
I took a 9 year break from being a paramedic to work in Medical Sales, Healthcare Procurement, as a Health consultant and started an online business with my wife.
Today I divide my time between running our own business, working as an Intensive Care Ambulance paramedic in Auckland, lecturing in paramedicine at AUT University, working towards my MHSc and playing dad to two wonderful kids. I hope to write more books in the near future.
